Remote Control Device
The new device "ORION" APK 61850 was developed using the latest element base. "ORION" APK 61850 uses microchips and components from leading world manufacturers, which are widely used in industrial automation and energy. Process control is entrusted to a multi-core processor using a hard real-time operating system. "ORION" APK 61850 has 3xEthernet ports, speeds up to 1 Gb / s, with the ability to connect both "copper" and optical communication channels.
The device supports integration into a local network of a substation automated control system (SCADA) via MMS with the ability to remotely monitor and control the device in various operating modes according to IEC61850. The data transmission redundancy function is implemented using the HSR and PRP protocols supported by the device.
The device implements a cybersecurity function in the form of MMS authentication with password protection, which will prevent unauthorized connections to the device.
"ORION" APK 61850 can interact with other relay protection and automation devices of the substation using the GOOSE data transfer protocol, that is, without using "copper" connections. To control the reception / transmission of GOOSE signals, the so-called "virtual overlays" are provided, which can be changed both from the front panel of the device and remotely using SCADA.
For time synchronization, the device uses NTP and PTPv2 protocols, which work with a satellite time synchronization substation system.
To configure the device in accordance with IEC61850 in accordance with the requirements of each specific power facility, specialized software has been developed that supports file sharing via the MMS protocol.
The device "ORION" APK 61850 was successfully tested and integrated into SCADA ABB MicroSCADA Pro 9.4 and Siemens WinCC / Sicam PAS 8.12 at power substations in Ukraine.
Taking into account the powerful and high-performance platform on the basis of which "ORION" APK 61850 is built, this device has the ability to further expand its functions in accordance with future developments in the energy sector and the improvement of IEC61850 standards.
